is like a raindrop falling on the land.
Each
drop is, by itself small and almost insignificant. However, as raindrops collect,
they form trickles. Trickles
gather into rivulets. The flow
gains momentum as rivulets merge creating tributary creeks and streams. As tributaries join, they form magnificent rivers with
strength never imagined by a raindrop.
Mission:Your1voice is a non-profit organization dedicated to peace and responsible citizenship. Your1voice is raising awareness to prevent violence, and promote the sanctity and dignity of human life.Objectives:

Intimate partner violence is actual or threatened physical or sexual violence or psychological and emotional abuse directed toward a spouse, ex-spouse, current or former boyfriend or girlfriend, or current or former dating partner. Some of the common terms used to describe intimate partner violence are domestic abuse, spouse abuse, domestic violence, courtship violence, battering, marital rape, and date rape (Saltzman, et al. 1999). CDC uses the term intimate partner violence because it describes violence that occurs within all intimate relationships. Some of the other terms are overlapping and may be used to mean other forms of violence including abuse of elders, children, and siblings. The Six Events that inspired the creation of Your1voice are described on these pages and related links. The Call to Action suggests a series of simple, common sense steps you can take to help curb violence. The first step, spreading the word is simple can be done in a moment. The second step, takes a bit more time and commitment, but doesn’t cost anything and can have a big impact. The next step involves a self examination and a more substantial commitment to non-violence. Initially, Your1voice will encourage a groundswell of market pressure using common sense approaches to curb violence in the media and entertainment industry. Violence in society is just one issue that Your1voice is concerned about. The name Your1voice was chosen because it signifies grassroots advocacy, not one specific issue. Resources provides articles, a calendar of events and an alphabetical listing of links to other web sites providing information about prevention of violence. Volunteer / donations shows how you can help Your1voice push back against the culture of violence. Success stories shows that individuals speaking out do make a difference.
