Everyday HeroesAmerica is addicted to larger than life heroes from TV, movies, sports and the other media. All too often, these heroes don't provide the positive role models our society needs. The good news is that there are a multitude of ordinary heroes living in our midst. They are in our homes and workplaces. Please take a minute to look at these stories of ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. Please let us know about other everyday heroes so we can add them to our page. Like Benjamin Martin, the main character in the historical fiction The Patriot, which inspired the creation of Your1voice, many of them experienced a deep inner conflict between their personal values, which cherish peace, and life, and the need to take action in the face a horrible situation. The web site World War II Heroes.com tells true stories of a few of these everyday heroes. You probably have a personal relationship with a hero like one of these men, and may not even be aware of it.
